When I was 16 I first heard of Kendall from a mutual friend. She described him as hot, funny, & a wonderful Christian. The first time I saw a picture of him, I thought he was the most attractive human being I had ever seen in my entire life. A few months later I laid eyes on him for the first time and still considered him absolutely stunning. We, as fate would have it, attended the same retreat and spoke for the first time. I remember his hair, his homemade bracelets, and his adam's apple. Our friendship began that 2001 September weekend. Over the next few years, we had ups and downs. I never could shake him out of my mind, while he viewed me as merely a good friend. In September of 2004 everything changed. We attended a wedding of some mutual friends and he looked at me differently. We began dating in December. The following April, Kendall felt the Lord leading him to return to Australia to participate in a mission organization [YWAM]. We knew that with an ocean between us our relationship would be tested, however I kissed him goodbye not knowing when I would see him again. Three months later, having finished my undergrad, I left my home for a year in China. In December of 2006 I boarded a plane for the land of OZ. I saw Kendall and everything felt right. The next evening, Christmas day, he proposed to me on the Gold Coast of Australia. After two months, I returned to China for four more months. September 22, 2007 was the day I walked down the aisle and married not only my best friend, but the man of my dreams. We have had a lot of tears along the way but they are always followed closely with kisses. On March 27, 2011 we welcomed our son, Loudon, in the world. It has been the most difficult, yet most rewarding part of our journey thus far. He has his daddy's eyes and my chin. Life is so beautiful.
